Observations for 2024 August 14

After the rainstorm ended it was cool and damp. There wasn't much going on in the Upper Basin, but having just arrived, I still wanted to see some sort of activity. So went over to Geyser Hill just before sunset to at leastsee Anemone erupt, and catch anything else.

I didn't have any prediction for Castle, but turns out I was able to see the start of a major eruption while I was over by Aurum. It was nicely backlit by the low sun.

I also noticed that the frying pan area near the boardwalk over by Little Squirt had a small area of steaming, made obvious by the dampness.
