Observations for 2024 August 21

The radio call for Beehive's Indicator came through just before the alarm for getting up to go out to Grand went off. So went over first to Beehive, then got out to Grand about an hour after my original plan. I didn't miss much, it appears. After about 1-1/2 hour wait, got a One Burst Eruption when it had warmed up a bit so it wasn't quite so steamy.

Spent a couple of hours at Fan & Mortar. At times the High Vent could look interesting, strong and tall, but on the whole, I didn't see much in the way of any cycles. The vents would come on for a few minutes, then everything was quiet. The only good news was that Angle would shutdown along with the others.

After that, headed over to Daisy where a 102 minute interval resulted in a 3m25s long eruption.

The wait for Grand during the afternoon was similar to that of the morning. There was just a string of undistinguished Turban eruptions before the One Burst Grand eruption. The only notable difference was that the Turban eruption intervals were longer.

Arrived for the moonlight Grand and waited a total of five minutes for a nice two burst eruption. There was a slight breeze blowing the steam to the north, so couldn't see Turban or Vent start, but it also made the activity easily visible, especially the second burst. And that concluded a four Grand eruption day.
