Observations for 2021 August 23

Another day of Fan & Mortar not doing much. Day started out cold, but not as overcast, foggy or smoky as previous days. The smoky part changed as the day progressed, as did the windiness.

Rift erupted before, during and after a One Burst Grand Eruption at midday. This was followed by a minor event at Fan & Mortar, which looked promising until it came time for the Frying Pan vents to come on. Then things just quieted down.

Went to another One Burst Grand eruption just before a red sunset. Then a few hours later, got another minor event at Fan & Mortar. The moon was rising red, and cast little to no light. The event itself was similar to the one earlier, in that things deteriorated as the event progressed.
