Turns out that Fan & Mortar erupted shortly after sunset yesterday. By this morning, they had recovered and looking like they were having Events (Main vent splashing, etc.). But the water on the boardwalk and the splash zone flowing into Backwater and the full catch basins pretty much confirmed what had happened.
So it was on to Grand, where we arrived just in time for a Turban Delay Interval. The only remarkable thing about the followup was that it took only four Turban Intervals before we got the One Burst Grand. Three or five is much more common, but the buildup to the eruption was obvious minutes before.
